Parrot is an interesting little company with some great ideas and they look to create a premium experience on most things they do. This sometimes means premium hardware, and sometimes premium experiences through software or features. In the case of their drones, most are able to be flown entirely using just your smartphone. They still offer a controller if you need more, but more than just the basics are only an app away.

Most selfie drones are compact, foldable, and portable. They have integrated cameras that are on par or better than many smartphone cameras out on the market today. What’s more, they have control options that make taking pictures and videos as hassle free as possible.

Of course, resolution is not the only thing that matters when it comes to cameras. The type of lenses, size, megapixel, etc… those are all important aspects that make a camera good or bad. Today though, we will be focusing solely on resolutions.

TIER 3: best drones of 2017 with: average (or below) flight time and / or average (or below) flight distance, hovers controllably, may only have basic features and camera image quality is slightly above average.

Once you start attracting clients, make sure you do your work on time and keep up with the marketing. Making a website featuring some of your work could be worth a shot too. Word of mouth will give you a lot of credibility so make sure your communication with clients remain both friendly and professional at all costs. Rinse and repeat until you’ve gained somewhat of a consistency in terms of clients. Congratulations – you’re now a successful aerial photographer. Thank me later! 😊

This is the most technically advanced selfie drone today. If you are looking for a small drone you can bring everywhere, that still takes great photos and video or if you are a beginner who loves taking videos and photos I think this is the best selfie drone on the market.

To help users with positioning and aligning the modules, magnets are embedded in each module. The camera is capable of tilting up and down, does no protrude and is entirely covered by the protector to prevent damage.

Altitude Hold, One Touch Takeoff and Landing, and even Headless Mode are many of the flight features you can expect from this drone. No doubt, this one is action packed in all of the best ways an inexpensive drone could be.

This camera-equipped drone features a folding design, so you can slip easily into a backpack and bring it along with you on any adventure. The drone is also designed to be easy to fly, with a gyroscopic stabilization system and sensors that help it avoid obstacles.

Free to download, the DJI Pilot App “puts complete control [of your drone] in your hands.” It offers numerous new features as well as a more intuitive user interface. New features include its Quick Video Editor from DJI’s Director software, which allows you to “choose the best moments from your flights and build a complete video with music, text, and more.” The editor includes pre-designed templates so you can create the videos you want.

The optimal way of taking selfies with DJI Spark is by using the PalmLaunch feature in combination with DJI’s facial recognition software. In order to do this, simply hold the Spark in your hands and tap the power button to turn it on. Afterward, tap it 2 more times and that will initialize facial recognition software (keep in mind that the Spark’s camera needs to be pointing towards you). The front LEDs will flash red if the process did not succeed so you’ll need to redo it.

Compared to the first two picks, the Syma X5SW-V3 has a few extra features. It’s still a great beginner’s drone at an affordable cost. Keep reading to see if these extra characteristics appeal to you.

“DJI Spark mini selfie drone” has access to ActiveTrack and TapFly among other smart flight modes available from the DJI GO App. However, it supports gesture control too. More precisely, PalmLaunch and PalmControl features seem like great finishing touches, allowing you to control this birdie with just your bare hands. If that’s not enough to drive you towards buying DJI Spark, then I don’t know what else to say…

Love it…Must Buy…I have heard that this is a good practice to expand the battery life, which might be a total BS but for now I have 4 batteries and I can switch between them….It was so good to see that Best Buy finally got these in their stock they are much more reasonable than other big batteries for DJI and I’m glad that I have three of them now they’ll help me going on travel Photo’s and videos

Drones are multirotor, remote-control (RC) flying devices that offer a new way of looking at the world around you from never-before-imagined perspectives, and sharing those adventures through photos and video. Many RC drones offer live first-person viewing (FPV), putting you in the driver’s seat on an exhilarating joyride where you can explore and even race from a pilot’s point of view. If you’ve ever dreamed of competing in an air race or performing tricks and stunts with your fellow fliers in an air show, becoming a drone pilot might be the closest you’ll come to experiencing that thrill firsthand.

The quadcopter also houses a precision barometer which allows stable flight and hovering, the camera still and reducing vibrations for clear dronies. There is also a “follow-me” feature whereby you don’t even need to be holding a controller to capture the shot.

This is another entry in the cheap quadcopter category. This model has throw-in-the-air startup capabilities, and a pretty cool searching light for flying in the dark. When it arrives it’s ready to fly after a full charge and getting the batteries ready, and the flight time is around 7 minutes after an hour-long charge.

That’s mostly because AirDog ADII is oriented towards athletes who require a fast drone to follow them around and record their reckless moves. This is further helped by the highly innovative controller called AirLeash. Mind you, we are not talking about a classic handheld controller. Nope! AirLeash delivers a handsfree controlling experience as it straps around your wrist or biceps. Plus, it’s easy to use and best of all – it is completely waterproof. So, for all you water sports lovers reading this, AirDog ADII is basically made for you!

The real benefit for Google and Amazon, however, is likely to be further down the line. In its agreement with Amazon, the space agency notes: “The UTM system could be developed and tested to accommodate both [Amazon’s] delivery operations and those of other operators.”

Among a host of other autonomous flight modes, the drone comes with an advanced Gesture mode. This makes it extremely easy to take selfies. You can use physical gestures to direct Mavic to locate you, center you in the frame, and take a picture of you. (The drone’s flashing lights count down to the photo being taken.)

Well, considering everything it has going in its favor, I suppose Hubsan H501S is among the best ones… at least in this price range. It offers great value for money and as such it surely deserves your attention.

The Dobby is controlled by a smartphone app, just like most of the drones we’ve seen here, it has a good battery life of around 9 minutes, plenty of time to get yourself a few good selfie drone shots.

Irish YouTuber Eye In The Sky captured footage last week of series filming in Ballintoy, Northern Ireland. However, the UAV videographer said he stumbled upon the shoot by accident. “Well, I was there to record the harbor — [Game of Thrones] happened to be in the way,” he wrote on his YouTube page.

The DJI Mavic has been a runaway success, primarily thanks to it being a portable drone which takes selfies. But DJI were not happy with the success of the Mavic … and they quickly followed the success with the release of the Mavic’s little brother:
