Top of the line is Hero 5 Black and Karma offers full support, just like we expected. The image quality is nothing short of brilliant. You can see it for yourself if you don’t believe me – there are plenty of videos captured with GoPro Karma available on YouTube.

With the changing times, kids’ toys have also taken a huge leap from stuffed bears to ultra-cool super gadgets. 3D Games, Remote controlled Robots, Cars, Drones and Virtual Reality Headsets etc. are the norm of the day. Drones for beginners and Quad-copters have always fascinated every kid and have been a hit ever since they were launched. The ability to fly anywhere and reach any place in an instant is the best-selling feature of these miraculous flying machines.

Overall, the Bebop 2 is a superb choice of beginner drone. It’s easy to fly, it’s portable, and it’s safer than the original. It’s not without a few faults (see cons table below), but then no drone is perfect.

Again, 3-axis gimbal stabilization system is not a must, but it greatly helps with the quality of your selfies. In addition to that, a gimbal, whether it’s 3-axis or 2-axis, will make up for smoother aerial videos so keep that in mind if selfies aren’t the only reason why you’re buying a drone in the first place.

It’s true guys, come on, just think of it… Think of the global phenomenon called selfies. They’ve shaken the world with their popularity and have established themselves as a daily activity in our lives. It’s true! Realistically speaking, I’m sure most of you reading this have taken at least 1 selfie in the last few days. Perhaps not your proudest achievement, right?

The controller for the SKEYE Mini Drone with HD Camera, powered by four AA batteries, offers unmatched precision will its ergonomic design and accessible buttons and sticks. With simple movements, it gives you the power to perform any trick from barrel rolls to banked turns, all while giving you a front row seat to the action for flights up to eight minutes long.

Bracing myself for more of the worst, I turned to the Yuneec Breeze 4K. The white, exposed-blade quadcopter had a much more involved setup than the Rova, requiring calibration and firmware updates (which, incidentally, failed.) Connecting to Wi-Fi was also a little finicky at first, but once the link was made, everything performed as advertised. Offering a range of camera modes—like selfie, orbit, and journey—the Breeze lives up to its name, hovering in place and snapping away on command.

Though the price starts at $499, I recommend the “Fly More Combo” for $699. You’ll get an additional battery, the controller, a charging dock, prop guards (the rings that surround the propeller to protect them from damage), and a case to hold it all.

ALTITUDE HOLD MAKES IT A GREAT DRONE FOR BEGINNERS: Controlling this drone is a breeze for beginners and its altitude hold functions helps stabilize aerial photography and video while in flight. FAA Registration NOT required

It’s always better for beginner pilots to keep their drones close by, where you can see and retrieve them at a moment’s notice. You’ll also want to form the habit of watching for low battery indicators.

is a great tool for photography and videography. It features the ST-10+ 5.5″ Android touch screen personal ground station and the CGO2+ 3-axis gimbal camera capable of taking 16MP photos and amazing Full HD 60 FPS videos. The included in the package SteadyGrip extends the use of the gimbal camera from the sky to the ground, 130º FOV. Camera can also transmit FPV video. It features GPS, Smart Mode, Angle Mode, Home Mode, Return to Home, SAFE circle. Flight time is a good 25 minutes and control range is around 600 meters.

Luckily, a lot of drones have beginner-friendly features to help: automated flight modes that easily get YouTube-quality sweeping shots, obstacle avoidance sensors that stop you from flying into a wall, and prop guards that protect the propellers from breaking when you inevitably crash anyway.

So all in all it is hard to fault the DJI’s latest drone and first real consumer drone the Mavic. True when compared to other drones even at the same price point, the DJI Mavic may not be the fastest, or the toughest or the best drone with a camera, but for its intended target, the average consumer, it is just about perfect. Except for one small thing, price. You see, for its features it is priced quite reasonably, but when you consider this to be a selfie drone for the average consumer, or in other words a toy, it is quite an expensive toy priced at $999.

It also has a number of automated flying modes, including an “Active Track” setting that follows a predefined subject from the air, a “TapFly” mode that lets you direct the drone by tapping points on its live feed, and the old “return to home” function, which does as its name suggests. There are others, and all of them make the device less intimidating if you’re just looking to have some fun.

Creativity is at the heart of every dream. At DJI, we give creators the tools they need to bring their imagination to life. Our products push visionaries to go beyond the limits of possibility, inspiring them to see the world from a brand new perspective.

And of course, given that it is fully controlled by an app (available for Android or iPhone), pushing the photos or videos you’ve taken from the drone to Facebook or your favourite social media network couldn’t get any easier.

Model: DJI Spark Fly More Combo – Alpine White. DJI Alpine White Spark Drone. This DJI COMBO Includes The Settings option in DJI Assistant 2 or DJI GO 4;. Spark is the first DJI drone to feature new TapFly submodes, Coordinate and Direction.

Syma produces many toy-class drones, but the X5C (look for the X5C-1, sometimes called the X5C Explorer) is the ideal starter drone. For a very low price point, you can be up in the air with this stable drone. The optional camera gives you a taste for aerial photography and the controls and responsiveness prepare you for more professional drones when you’re ready.
