The Blade Nano is a beginner drone (for under $100) that will carry you into the veteran landscape. (Blade was also featured in our list of drone companies to watch, among a few of the other manufacturers in this article.)
However, do not think these drones have some limitations due to their simplicity. Quite the contrary, pricier models such as DJI Spark or Wingsland S6 offer most (if not all) features that are popular with full-sized models. So basically, what I am trying to say here is that selfie drones serve as great learning platforms but are not making any compromises in terms of features and functionality.
Why not Hubsan H501S ? One of the best quality/price drones with a lot of interesting features! Brushless,GPS, Follow me, FPV with inseted in trasmitter, good battery about 20min, Altitude holder, RTH… About 220€ on gearbest
Although its wings are relatively large, they’re made from a polystyrene/styrofoam-like material, making the aircraft very lightweight. This means that while it’s not exactly sturdy, it’s so light it’s unlikely to get damaged from dropping to the floor.
Aside from flying fast, a lot of the racing leagues take things indoors. In this case, it is legal to fly using a FPV headset. Walkera has a headset or two to choose from, but the F210 3D will connect to most common head gear on the market. Essentially, if you are looking to race, this is one of the best drones to not only get you started, but stick with you as you advance through your skills.
Finally they are mostly autonomous and fly on their own in several predetermined patterns. Meaning you can set the drone to follow you from behind, or focus on your face from the front or even do a flyby around; all of this is done even if you are moving around. The idea is that you simply tell the drone to follow you and you start your adventure. Pretty cool!
If you have never owned a drone up to this point, then there is no doubt that you need a good practice. You need to hone your piloting skills and truth be told, Syma X5C is one of the best drones for beginners. There are more than few copies of this birdie available on the market which just goes to show what a good job the hardworking folk over at Syma did with it. So, having that in mind, let’s take a closer look and see what’s this highly popular entry level drone all about!
The camera can capture 720P video at 30 frames per second (with an SD card). This is one of the most popular training quadcopters on the market, and I like this particular package because it comes with an extra battery.
We get this question from first-time users (and would-be users) a lot lately. So, we might as well answer it right away. So, if you have a strictly LOS flying drone without any sort of an FPV system onboard, you will have a tough time knowing when you’re in the camera frame. Of course, you can get a feel for it every now and then, but there’s no guarantee that you’re right an that your selfie will turn out as awesome as planned.
What’s even better, this tiny flying selfie camera has some interesting features that are quite rare to see with drone cameras – facial recognition and drone target tracking. These will ensure you always get the perfect selfie no matter how clumsy you are when it comes to actually maneuvering with the drone itself.
Item Name: H37 Mini Baby ELFIE. The G-sensor mode enables the small quadcopter to automatically follow the way you move your smartphone. 1 JJR/C H37 Mini Quadcopter (built-in 720P camera). Channel: 4CH.
Assemble the starter drone and check that all of the pieces have been secured together. Find a large open space and test the quadcopter. Don’t go to maximum speed and maximum height immediately. Baby steps are a good idea for the first flight. Once you get a better feel for the controller and how the drone responds to it, you’ll have the freedom to execute some much more daring flight experiments.
The Parrot Bebop 2 takes quality in-flight video. The phone- or tablet-based controls make it intuitive to control right out of the box, even if it lacks a little of the sensitivity of a more expensive drone with a separate controller. The package in…

They provide a massive amount of impact protection and are there to ensure your propellers (as well as the centerpiece of your drone) are 100% safe at all times. Still, this is not an invitation to smash Parrot AR 2.0 straight into a wall at full speed as that would probably render it unusable… plus your warranty won’t cover it. 😊
The Mavic Pro is an excellent drone for selfies. It is definitely the most qualified to take all sorts of selfies and to take them in the best quality of all the selfie drones listed in this review .
The second MJX entry level drone model on this list is called Bugs 2W. Don’t mistake it for 2C which is not nearly as worthwhile purchase! WIth that out of our way, I’d like to start off the introduction by stating that MJX has done an excellent job with this speedy little devil. With fine pieces of hardware inside and excellent build quality, MJX Bugs 2W is surely the second best model for under $300.
Nasa is considering monitoring drones with a range of sensors including radar, orbiting satellites and cellphone signals. The UTM system is also likely to be cloud-based, meaning that drones will need an internet link to download information about weather, traffic and restricted zones. That combination makes using the existing phone networks very attractive. “Cellphone technology will help to communicate information about other aircraft and we can already track phones like crazy,” says Cummings. “It’s a nice alternative to saturating an already broken air traffic control system.”
All-in-all for a drone of less than $100, this packs a lot of punch. We’ve sourced the best Amazon supplier for this selfie quadcopter, all you have left to do is press the Buy Now button and start taking dronies 🙂
On the 4th spot of this list, we have an interesting premium grade aerial photography drone coming from the labs of Autel Robotics. Currently, they have 2 models available, X-Star and X-Star Premium. The latter will be the focus of this list as it provides with better value for money in the high-end market. So, let’s cut with the introduction here and see what is this beauty all about!

The wheels do more than just guard the blades. They protect furniture and vulnerable objects when flying indoors. They also roll the drone across ceilings and up walls. You have to see it to believe it.
A drone battery offers 5–25 minutes of flight time on a single charge, and can take an hour or more to recharge. But oftentimes the battery can be easily removed and replaced with a fresh one once its charge is spent. To spend more time in the air each session, you should purchase one or more extra rechargeable batteries that are compatible with your drone.
The Wingsland S6 is also controlled by an App Controlled, with a number of fancy modes such as auto follow, flipping in the air, orbit, gesture control, and various automated flight modes, together with the very importance Comprehensive Obstacle Avoidance mode. Simply put, it is designed to stuff in your backpack and take on a hike! Or to take to the beach or even ski trip or something. It’s small,

Hubsan is an up and coming name in the easy to fly drones industry and they are making that fact well-known with a whole bunch of great models across all price segments. A prime example of that is their H107D model, a miniature FPV drone that can reach great speeds. Plus, it is also highly maneuverable making it a nimble flyer, great for learning the basics of FPV racing. So, without much further adue let’s see what’s Hubsan H107D made of and is it a good starter drone ?
It can fly as fast as 50mph and has a battery that’ll get you up to to 45 minutes of flying time, which is pretty remarkable in the drone world. It’s got a built in computer/brain called CHUCK, which helps provide its autopiloting capabilities. Just press the start-up button, hold it until ready, then throw the drone like a frisbee, then the autopilot takes over.
In terms of features this birdie brings to the table, there’s altitude hold and one key return, but don’t get your hopes up since they are not GPS based. Still, such a thing would be just too much to ask from a tiny toy-grade model such as this one.
Eriksson said Telstra is also currently working on three augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) projects: Project Halo, which uses AR to show maintenance staff, for example, a red line to where exactly a faulty rack is located within a datacentre; Project Pokemon, which uses AR to show customers how to install their new Telstra TV or router at home; and Project Smart Miner, which uses VR headsets to provide a safer training environment for mining without needing to send novices underground.
Quite frankly, this drone isn’t exactly the easiest to fly drone out there since there are high end models that can easily sweep the floor with it. But, for the price it goes for, it is absolutely at the very top. It sports the same track controlled mode which allows you to draw out a flying path but with a really intuitive app supporting it.
