If you have been living under a rock in the last year or so, then you might have missed the news about the most popular tech trend that’s shaking the world. I am, of course, talking about drones which are becoming huge parts of our everyday lives. When they first appeared on the market they had expensive price tags on them and to be honest, they were primarily designed for experienced pilots.
Another affordable camera drone we like is the Syma X5C. We’re not alone — the toy quad has a 4.1 rating after a whopping 4,360 user reviews on Amazon, and it’s received praise from reviewers at CNET, Gizmodo, and MyFirstDrone, among others.
The pinnacle of new selfie drones is, of course, made by DJI. Their awesome DJI Mavic Pro is the best selfie drone with high-end specifications across all departments. Some would argue that this is a mere selfir drone… and the are 100% right. DJI Mavic Pro offers so much more.
The DJI Mavic Pro is top of the line when it comes to selfie drones. It is also the most expensive, able to take all sorts of selfies in the best quality of all the drones listed. The Mavic Pro will fold down to a small compact size, It won’t, however, fit into your pocket and is not as portable in relation to the smaller models.
With this drone, your days of unintentionally cropping someone out of your photos are over. Once you sync it up with your smartphone, you can steer it to a picture-perfect angle. Air Selfie’s drone can ascend about 30 feet in the air, so it’s great for stunning aerial shots, sprawling landscapes, and, yes, group pictures.

“DJI Spark mini selfie drone” has access to ActiveTrack and TapFly among other smart flight modes available from the DJI GO App. However, it supports gesture control too. More precisely, PalmLaunch and PalmControl features seem like great finishing touches, allowing you to control this birdie with just your bare hands. If that’s not enough to drive you towards buying DJI Spark, then I don’t know what else to say…
ALTITUDE HOLD MODE: Thanks to the Built-in AIR PRESSURE SENSOR: Make sure the throttle stick at the middle position, when you push the throttle stick and then release, the rc drone will automatically set the height. Thus you can fly the drone easily and steadily.

While reviewing these entry-level best drones for beginners, we invested lots of time figuring out every aspect a starter pilot would like. Our personal experience has had a significant part, and we attempted to put ourself in the beginner’s position.
It also has a number of automated flying modes, including an “Active Track” setting that follows a predefined subject from the air, a “TapFly” mode that lets you direct the drone by tapping points on its live feed, and the old “return to home” function, which does as its name suggests. There are others, and all of them make the device less intimidating if you’re just looking to have some fun.
Now as I mentioned earlier this is an indoor quad don’t try to fly it outdoors it will not handle even the slightest of wind you will lose your quad to the wind, so make sure the fly indoors it’s a lot of fun indoors it’s built to be flown indoors and you shouldn’t be flying it outdoors.
Even though AirDog ADII is not a flying selfie camera oriented drone, it can still serve the purpose of selfie drones as good as any other model from the list above. This high-speed beast delivers across all departments, especially when it comes to extreme outdoor sports.
And we’ve already seen what a leap in usability there has been – drones now need just a gesture to take a selfie. Drones don’t even need remotes sometimes – you can fly them with a smartphone app. Drones for selfies are obviously not going to be any different – they’re simply to fly, simple to take pictures with.
The app is decent. Connection to my drone can be spotty at times but not too terrible. The real concern is that Webroot antivirus is flagging this app as a Trojan. I’m not saying for sure that it truly is, as antivirus apps have been known to run across false positives from time to time, but it’s still something that concerns me, so uninstalling until further notice.
Se mere i denne video.
It’s a great little drone to practice your flying skills indoors and out, but take heed! It sounds like a large swarm of feisty bees. You may want to make sure you’re home alone for indoor practice 😉
We specify whether the beginner drone in our guide needs to be registered. Registration is cheap at just $5 and it takes just a couple of minutes to complete. Don’t let drone registration requirements turn you off. The process couldn’t be simpler.
The camera is 12.35-megapixel for stills and up to 4K resolution for video, meaning there really are no compromises here. Plus this drone avoids objects automatically, so even beginners will struggle to crash.
Altitude hold is one of the handiest features that come packaged together with a GPS module. Altitude hold allows your drone to keep flying at a constant altitude without you having to manually adjust the throttle stick. It also allows you to concentrate better on your recording/shooting and does a world of good for beginner flyers who are learning the basics.
When folded, It’s not bigger than a regular bottle of water. Such a small size allows you to carry it around wherever you go. Combine that with an absolutely amazing 4K camera and you’ll realize that Mavic Pro is the perfect solution for photographers who are constantly on the go.
One feature we sadly didn’t get to test was target tracking. The idea is, you select a person/cat/whatever currently in the camera’s view (via the app), and the drone will follow it. DJI’s Phantom 4 and Osmo also do this, with mixed results, so it’ll be interesting to see how well Dobby can hold up. Video is stabilized digitally, which should smooth it out a little, but again, this isn’t as effective as a dedicated gimbal, or OIS. One final feature that probably could have been left out are flying tricks — in particular Dobby can barrel roll. You can’t film while it flips, but it’s mostly a novelty. (Update: Zerotech informs me you can, indeed, record video during flips).
Regardless, things still get broken sometimes, particularly racing drones. A good model will offer a ready supply of cheap parts like rotors and struts to replace the broken ones, and will make it easy to swap these parts out when required. The same is true of batteries.
The most frequent mistake I see novice flyers do is go full throttle on their first run. This is obviously a bad practice, especially with powerful drones that are too fast for beginners to handle. That’s why you should put your drone at the lowest rate possible and don’t force the throttle to unnecessary levels. You’ll thank me later!
Unfortunately, there is not a single waterproof selfie drone out there. Actually, there might be a few of those toy-grade drones with cameras, but their sensors are awful and they’re not exactly made for selfies. So, yup… if you are looking for a waterproof selfie drone I am afraid you will not have any luck.
Apart from that, Yuneec Typhoon H also comes with an ST16 controller with a built-in 7-inch touchscreen powered by Android. It features intuitive controls and, believe it or not, it’s quite a breeze controlling this beauty. When it comes to aerial photography drone, Typhoon H is as good as they come with a stunning 4K stabilized camera. Feature-wise, it sports a total of 8 smart flight modes, automatic takeoff/landing, GPS navigation and even retractable gear so you can move the camera in 360 degrees without it ruining the field of view.
The recent update to the Eachine E50, the EACHINE E55 is designed as a fun first drone for anyone interested in getting started with drones. While it lacks some of the reliability and features of the more expensive options on this list it’s great value and should satisfy most beginners.
Imagine you and a group of friends are at the peak of a mountain after a long hike. It’s sunset and the sky is alight; you want to take a photo. You pull out your smartphone, but instead of flipping it around to take a long-armed selfie, you unclip a tiny drone from the back of your phone, make it hover at the perfect height and snap a series of photos, no extendo-arms required.
