Overall, I really like this little fellow. It is fun, responsive, cute in an odd way, comes in a great package (with an extra battery!), and is supplied by a company with the best customer service I have ever experienced (I own 4 other HS quads). Holy Stone!

If you have been living under a rock in the last year or so, then you might have missed the news about the most popular tech trend that’s shaking the world. I am, of course, talking about drones which are becoming huge parts of our everyday lives. When they first appeared on the market they had expensive price tags on them and to be honest, they were primarily designed for experienced pilots.

Follow Me mode takes advantage of the drone’s GPS module and allows it to follow you (or virtually any other object or person) everywhere you go. There are also several variants or subtypes of this feature. They include Dynamic Follow, Static Follow, ActiveTrack, Orbit, Panoramic Follow and plenty more… of course, depending on the model you have/will buy.

Portability is further enhanced with the foldable wings. Aside from saving you spaces, folding out wings when attached to the camera body will lock drone modules tightly to the camera module to prevent it from falling off.

DJI Mavic Pro-dronen leverer avanserte funksjoner i et kompakt format.

Mavic’s powerful camera shoots beautiful 4K videos and takes 12 megapixel still photos. The quadcopter has a flight time of 27 minutes and a control range of 7 kilometers. This gives you more than enough time and control distance to get your shots.

Using the aircraft is quick when everything you require to perform is slide in your batteries as well as the SD card chip for recording purposes. The handles are sensitive. However, it makes for good control.

In our time with Dobby, Zerotech tried to show us everything it could do. This includes voice enabled control (call it’s name, it’ll take off). You can also set Dobby to take off from, and land onto your palm. It’s not exactly the throw launched promised (but as yet undelivered) by Lily, but moving your hand upwards will see the drone take flight. Be careful of your fingers though, as Dobby nipped a pinkie from our demonstrator at one point.

Well, considering everything it has going in its favor, I suppose Hubsan H501S is among the best ones… at least in this price range. It offers great value for money and as such it surely deserves your attention.

Be aware that this violates one of the FAA rules of flight, breaking your line-of-sight to the small aircraft, but we can’t ignore the segment, as VR and FPV flying are rapidly becoming very popular. Just ask our writers on VRSource.com what they think of VR, if you need some idea.

1. The stability mode now the stability mode is great for people who are starting out in this mode the flight controller restricts how much you can pitch and roll so it makes for much smoother calmer flight especially when you’re starting out, when you’re in the stability mode the LED on the quadcopter burns a solid blue.

Apart from that, Yuneec Typhoon H also comes with an ST16 controller with a built-in 7-inch touchscreen powered by Android. It features intuitive controls and, believe it or not, it’s quite a breeze controlling this beauty. When it comes to aerial photography drone, Typhoon H is as good as they come with a stunning 4K stabilized camera. Feature-wise, it sports a total of 8 smart flight modes, automatic takeoff/landing, GPS navigation and even retractable gear so you can move the camera in 360 degrees without it ruining the field of view.

The retailer Force1 includes an extra battery in this model, which doubles your flight time and is great for folks logging those first few hours of flight. The Red Heron also comes with spare motors, which is a great value add, especially for beginner drone pilots.

Nixie, which you can wear on your wrist until you want to fling it off for a photo or video, has a “boomerang mode” that allows it to fly back to you as if it were a trained raptor. A promotional video for Lily shows a man with a backpack lobbing the drone like a stone over a bridge and casually walking away, only to have the thing float up and follow him. Think you can outmaneuver the contraption in white-water rapids? Lily is waterproof. I watched with awe a video of Lily being dumped into a river beside a woman in a kayak (where one assumes Lily will perish), yet within seconds emerging and rising, like Glenn Close from the bathtub in “Fatal Attraction.”

The Syma X5C also comes with a forward-facing HD camera (720p) and 2GB SD card. That, plus a few autonomous features like headless mode and one-button flips and barrel rolls, makes this a great drone for beginners.

EYEDEA is a serious start-up with a growing full-time members, funding, a production ready working prototype and lots of exciting momentums. Before PITTA, we have delivered multiple computer vision solutions to Smart Factory and Surveillance market.

If you’re thinking of making short aerial videos or wanting to be a professional aerial photographer and need sort of a video editing software to clamp them together, perhaps looking at the small list below would do you a world of good. Keep in mind that the list order is irrelevant as there are many different aspects that make up a good program.

The Hover Camera Passport, on paper should be a better value when compared to the ZeroTech Dobby, but in reality, I just could not get over the fact that its control range is so limited. At this price point, this is unacceptable.

You won’t suffer from boredom flying this simple-to-maneuver robot either. You have options to flip it 360 degrees in any direction, take photos, and record video with sound. Let’s look at the little camera.

is a high-end quadcopter from DJI manufacturer. This drone features a Full 360º rotation 4K 12MP video camera, which can be remotely controlled via tablet through an app. Best thing about Inspire 1 is that it has a transform design, meaning the arms of the quadcopter can move, acquiring different positions. This is a very useful feature for photography and videography purposes. It features auto-pilot, GPS, aerodynamic transforming design, FailSafe, Hover in place without GPS,  App-based control software, Live Map and Radar, Dynamic Home Point, among other amazing utilities. Maximum control range is an amazing 4.5Km. Flight time is around 20 minutes. Many people are saying this is the best drone for filming. Do you agree?

The optimal way of taking selfies with DJI Spark is by using the PalmLaunch feature in combination with DJI’s facial recognition software. In order to do this, simply hold the Spark in your hands and tap the power button to turn it on. Afterward, tap it 2 more times and that will initialize facial recognition software (keep in mind that the Spark’s camera needs to be pointing towards you). The front LEDs will flash red if the process did not succeed so you’ll need to redo it.

Love it…Love it….Easy to fly for beginner…price was not really a factor as I know you get what you pay for and like I said as of being and avid R/C hobbit for 30 yrs and to have parts availability and customer support are the 2 most important things I look for, as for as the aircraft, does exactly what you tell it to do and takes awesome vid and pics…thanks again Yuneec for a quality product and people who stand behind them!!

Familiarize yourself with the remote control – play around with it, push the switches and practice coordination between the two hands. You should also know how to take off and land the quadcopter gently. Acquaint yourself with indicator lights and what each one of them means.

If you want to get the best selfie game out of GI Follow, then your best method would be via the Selfie Mode. This will turn the drone towards you and you will be in the center of camera focus. Of course, to improve this scenario you can turn Facial Tracking on too. Even though some users have claimed this feature to be buggy at times if you manage to get it right I am positive it will provide you with a top tier selfie.

Light characteristics on the drone are extremely impressive, the quad flies much smoother than a whole lot of quads we’ve tested it is very easy to fly it maintains an extremely stable hover especially in the stability mode you can do flips & all that and it’s very agile when you need it to be so you can actually switch it into the high rate mode and go do a lot of high-speed flying.

Smartphone WiFi Remote Control – this drone can be controlled via a wifi connection to your (iOS or Android) phone, with a real-time transmission from the camera on the drone! Pictures and videos taken by the drones are stored in the phone, so it’s dead simple to share them immediately.

This is a fun drone to fly at any level, but the makers built it with the beginner firmly in mind. It has good elasticated plastic blade guards to help protect against those inevitable beginner crashes.

The DJI Mavic Pro, for example, was the first highly-specced drone with foldable arms – it’s size actually goes down to not much larger than the size of a Coke can when folded. But, the foldable drone does not come at the expense of portability:

Let’s cut the story short! What this essentially does is give you a clear, silk smooth video without any shakiness and blur. All of it is being dealt with by the gimbal, providing the camera a 3-axis stabilizing system that will annihilate all shakiness and vibrations. So, if you are looking for a drone that you’ll use for commercial aerial photography, make sure it has a 3-axis gimbal system. They come in various forms though, so you will have to keep an eye out for that. Some of them are built-in (DJI Mavic Pro for example) while others have standalone ones. You can even buy an aftermarket gimbal and mount it on your drone… if it’s supported, of course.

At the high end of this category you can shoot video that looks quite professional, and have a drone that you can fly for up to 25 minutes. The larger drones handle wind better, and some come equipped with a gimbal that stabilizes the camera.

Though agile in the air, drones can be bulky and cumbersome when on land. Not so with the Spark from DJI, which won’t hold you back no matter what the adventure. This compact quadcopter features an integrated camera with motorized stabilization to capture 12MP photos, 1080p Full HD videos, and even aerial selfies.

Got the drone a couple months ago..the service is 50/50 which means sometimes i have to unlock my car with a physical key because of errors try again..even though that was the case it was working fine on my apple watch most of the times until the dreaded “UPDATE 3.8” now my series 3 apple watch is no longer “COMPATIBLE” with this new update yet 1 week ago it was working on that same watch..hmm They need to let paying customers know when a fix or an update will be coming out for features that are advertised when i purchased drone mobile. I still recommend the drone but hope the update fixes the apple watch and the siri issues.

The Syma X11C Quadcopter is one of the most affordable quadcopter options a beginner UAV pilot has. With its 6-axis gyro direction stabilizer flight control system, 3D lock to help for more precise flying, and blade protector to help with minor crashes, this is a great inexpensive quadcopter for beginners.

It isn’t as stable, speedy, or sturdy as the Nano QX, but for half the price, it’s close enough. It’s about the same size, and its controller is similarly simple to get around. Its battery is about the same, too. It’s another popular model, so replacement parts are plentiful and easily available. And while it can’t pull off sharp turns and dives as easily, its beginner and “advanced” flying modes get you something around the same idea as the Nano’s. I’ll start off by mentioning that Traxxas unfortunately doesn’t come with a camera. On the bright side, you can order it with a dedicated gimbal that allows you to mount a high-quality action camera that can turn this drone into a proper aerial photography drone platform.
Now any budding pilot can take to the skies and operate their own flying robot. You really can get a lot of fun and features for very little money. You can also dive right in and learn with a higher quality craft with more features.
Which brings me to the escape plan. How do you lose an R1 that has been told to follow you? Here’s what worked for me: Find a tree. Run around it very precisely, just fast enough to stay exactly opposite the drone, so the tree trunk blocks its view of you for seconds at a time. Do it just right and the bird will lose you, stopping in its tracks, confused.
